Ingredients
1 lb. ground turkey
1/2 cups onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
14-1/2 oz. can of stewed tomatoes
1 Granny Smoth apple, cored and chopped
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 tbsp. pimiento-stuffed olives, thinly sliced
1/4 cup stuffed olives, thinly sliced
1/4 cup toasted almonds
Directions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté turkey, onion, green pepper, and garlic until turkey is browned.
- Stir in sugar, cinnamon, cumin, cloves, tomatoes, apple, raisins, and olives, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat when done.
- Serve over rice, top with toasted almonds, and enjoy!
