The history of cultivating Tilapia as food can be traced back over 2,500 years to Africa and the Middle East.  Today, it’s enjoyed around the world in a variety of dishes.  Tilapia can be prepared in a number of ways, including braised, stewed, broiled, baked, steamed, and even air-fried.  Its firm meat makes it ideal as a filler in fish tacos.  Tilapia has a delicate flavor, so be careful not to overpower it with heavy sauces.
