Mussels (Live)


This versatile bivalve can be found in waters throughout the world and is easier to prepare than you think.  Mussels can be sauteed in white wine, served atop a bed of linguini, or included in a hearty Cioppino.  Like most bivalves, Mussels are delicious sautéed in a broth and white wine reduction and served with hearty bread to sop up the broth.  Mussels can also be steamed, broiled, or smoked, and make a great addition to pasta.
