Monkfish (Fillet)

Monkfish is often referred to as the “Poor Man’s Lobster” for its mild sweet flavor that almost mimics the famous crustacean. Monkfish can either be grilled, baked, poached, steamed, or pan-fried.  To retain moisture, it’s recommended that you brine or salt your monkfish then pat dry about an hour before cooking.  Monkfish are rich in B-vitamins and Omega 3s, low in calories and high in protein – 76 calories and 14 grams of protein per 3-ounce serving!
