Mangrove Snapper

If you’ve ever been boating or kayaking among the mangroves in Florida, you have probably seen this fish swimming among the mangrove roots – hence its name. Found among the mangroves along the Eastern Seaboard and the Gulf of Mexico, Mangrove Snapper are quite small compared to other species of snapper. They are a very flavorful fish, no matter how you prepare them. They can be broiled, grilled, baked, fried, or even cleaned and prepared as sushi.
