A favorite among the locals, Kingfish are caught in both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Often referred to as King Mackerel, Kingfish can be broiled, grilled, poached, sautéed in curry, baked or steamed. This fish is an excellent source of extra-lean protein – around 20 grams in an average-size steak. This oily fish is also rich in Selenium, B-vitamins, and heart-healthy Omega-3s. Delaware takes pride in offering both whole kingfish and kingfish steaks.
