Claw Crabmeat

Claw Crabmeat Bisque

Claw Crabmeat is the least expensive of the crabmeats, and has a bold, rich flavor. Generally, the meat comes from the claw, as well as the swimming fins. Because these muscles were active all the time, claw crabmeat tends to be darker, with a heartier flavor than the less active muscles. This makes claw crabmeat perfect for use in soups, chowders and bisques, or any recipe that calls for crab meat with a strong, hearty flavor.
